Getting Started

Go through the list to get the most out of your ReefToolkit experience!

1

Creating Your Account

The first step is to create your account or log in if you already have one. Using an account allows your data to sync across your devices and enables our system to analyze and generate AI insights, if you consent.

If it's your first time using ReefToolkit, tap the "Create an Account" button on the welcome screen, then provide the required information. Alternatively, you can select "Sign in with Apple" or "Sign in with Google" to use your Apple or Google account.

If you already have a ReefToolkit account, enter your username and password in the "Sign in" section, then tap the "Sign in" button. If you have previously used ReefToolkit with your Apple or Google account, continue with the relevant one under the "Quick Access" section.

For other devices and platforms, such as the Android app or web portal, use the same account to keep your data and subscription synchronized across devices.

For additional info about accounts, go to the Manage Account page.

2

Creating Your First Tank

ReefToolkit links your inhabitants, parameters, and most data to tanks (aquariums). You can easily create multiple tanks and switch between them.

To create a tank, go to the "Now" tab (the first screen) and tap on "Tanks." Then tap the + button in the top right corner and enter your tank details.

The more data you provide, the more features will be available. For example, tank type helps with water parameters, and tank volume assists with water change calculators.

For more info about tanks, go to the Tanks page.

3

Adding Inhabitants

You can track your fish, corals, inverts, and other inhabitants, along with their health and growth records. Each inhabitant is linked to their tank, but you can move them between tanks (or quarantine).

To add an inhabitant, go to the "Inhabitants" tab and then tap the + button to enter its information. If you added more than one tank, be sure to select the corresponding tank from the top center of the app.

Choosing a species helps ReefToolkit to provide you with care info and a default image for your inhabitant.

For more info about inhabitants, go to the Inhabitants page.

4

Collecting Test Logs

ReefToolkit helps keep water parameters stable and maintain a healthy ecosystem. You can record test results by going to the "Logs" tab and then tapping the + button. If you select a tank type, ReefToolkit suggests target and safe values for each parameter.

The "Add Reading" page includes a quick test kit timer functionality to assist you with the testing process.

For more info about logs, go to the Logs page.

5

Building a Nutrient Schedule

The Nutrient Schedule arranges the feeding and dosing plan for your reef. You can use the Nutrient Schedule to classify manual and automatic feedings or dosings each week.

To add your first nutrient, go to the "Nutrients" tab and tap the + button. Enter the nutrient details and feeding/dosing schedule.

Going on vacation, and someone else will take care of your tanks? Tap the share button to send your manual nutrient program to them.

For more info about the nutrient schedule, go to the Nutrient Schedule page.

6

Exploring the ReefToolkit

The "Now" tab includes shared features across tanks, such as a shopping list, expense management, a reefing journal, reminders, equipment tracking, and more. Adding more to the ReefToolkit will generate insights for your ecosystem.

Finally, there is a comprehensive Species Reference, along with useful tools and calculators on the "Tools" tab.

Accordingly, ReefToolkit assists with your daily tanks, predicts future possibilities, and helps you enjoy your reefing experience more.
